Doug Logan served 19 years as “Voice of the Orange,” for Syracuse University Football and Basketball on WSYR Radio, and 19 years as Sports Director of WIXT-TV, Channel 9. Most recently, Logan spent 10 years as Director of Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, which televises local professional, collegiate and scholastic sporting events, statewide and throughout the Northeast. A 1974 graduate of Purdue University, Doug is a member of the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame. Logan’s honors from Syracuse University include: “Letterwinner of Distinction” and the “Dean’s Citation” for his work with the Whitman School of Management. Doug’s extensive community recognition includes the “Distinguished Citizen Award” from the Boy Scouts of America, the “Community Team Spirit Award” from the Salvation Army, and the “Man of the Year” from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He has served as President and Chairman of the Board of the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association and has been an annual elector for the Heisman Trophy and the Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year Award.  It was good to catch up with Pete this afternoon. I know a lot of his friends will be glad to see him again. I did invoke a couple of little know Reunion Rules to encourage him to attend. First, anyone who was ever a class officer is obligated to attend it was included as part of your oath of office declaration...plus Pete is one of the officially designated physicians required for any reuniion event in excess of 10 years!
